The NHL is planning to stage two Stadium Collection video games on back-to-back days subsequent February at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
The video games will pit the Philadelphia Flyers towards the New Jersey Devils and the New York Rangers towards the New York Islanders, based on The Fourth Interval and NHL broadcaster Kevin Weekes on Tuesday
MetLife Stadium opened in 2010 and is residence to the NFL’s New York Giants and Jets. It has but to host an outside NHL sport.
The Rangers are an ideal 4-0 in out of doors video games, the most effective file of any NHL workforce. The Devils and Islanders have every performed one out of doors sport, coming in 2014 at Yankee Stadium; the Devils misplaced to the Rangers in a two-game set
The Flyers are 1-3-1 in 5 out of doors video games and final performed in a single in 2021 on the “NHL Outdoor at Lake Tahoe” occasion.
Within the 2023 Stadium Collection sport in February, the host Carolina Hurricanes beat the Washington Capitals 4-1 at NC State’s soccer stadium in Raleigh, N.C.
