The White Home stated the invoice, whose 52 cosigners are Republicans, is aligned with President Biden’s public security agenda.
“These two provisions are crucial parts of the Biden-Harris Administration’s 2021 suggestions to Congress to fight the availability of illicit FRS and save lives,” the White Home memo acknowledged. “The Administration’s 2021 suggestions to Congress included further provisions to enhance public security. The Administration calls on Congress to cross all of those crucial measures to enhance public security and save lives.”

No Democrats within the Home of Representatives have cosponsored the invoice with Griffith.
The push to cross the laws comes as drug overdoses hit all-time excessive ranges – surpassing 106,000 in 2021, practically 71,000 of them from opioids.
